If a journalist published a detailed enough description of the 4G iPhone to prove that he had held one, yet didn’t reveal how, would Apple sic the space cops on him? I believe Gizmodo crossed a line, but at this point I’d be afraid to be a journalist with real sources inside Apple. Where is that line between brave journalism and stupidity? Is it just the cash involved? Would there even be an issue if Gizmodo had obtained the phone without paying for it? It seems the letter of the law would’ve still been broken, but it would’ve been even more convincing when they say they weren’t sure if it was a fake or not.
